Michelle Lafountain started working for Champlain National Bank as a Teller in December 2003. In 2008 she was promoted to Branch Manager. Michelle has worked in financial services for the past 15 years, holding positions at Charter One Bank and Yankee Farm Credit. Outside of work she is the Secretary of the Champlain - Rouses Point Rotary Club and takes part in planning the annual Rotary Father/Daughter Dance. She also enjoys volunteering at many other community events. Michelle stays busy with her 5-year-old daughter and her 3-year-old son. In her spare time, she enjoys rollerblading, scrapbooking, camping, cooking, and most importantly, time with her family.
Favorite part about working for Champlain National Bank: I love that we are a locally-owned bank. It is nice to say that you work for a bank that has never been “bought out.” I believe this is important not only for me, but for our clients.

Favorite part about working for Champlain National Bank: I really enjoy coming to work and working with my fellow employees. They are a great group of girls, and we really know how to make each other’s days better. It is also very nice to get to know our clients: they always have great stories for us and keep us smiling. Knowing I can make someone’s day better by doing a simple banking transaction makes me feel good.
