Debit Card Management
A POWERFUL TOOL
Manage your debit card when and how you want, right from our Mobile App! From setting spending limits, to requesting notifications for certain types of transactions, to blocking charges, you are in complete control of how your card is used.
We will need to have your mobile phone number or email address on file to get started! Please note: your mobile carrier may charge you data or message fees.
After logging into the Champlain National Bank Mobile App, select Preferences from the Main Side Menu.
In the Preferences Menu, select Manage Cards to view the debit cards that can be managed.
MANAGE CARDS MENU
This is the Manage Cards main menu. From here you will be able to setup alerts for your debit card, temporarily suspend it, report it as lost or stolen, and request a new card.
ALERTS AND PROTECTION
Location - Block your card from being used internationally or be notified when used internationally.
Merchant Types - Restrict or be notified of transactions at selected merchants: Age Restricted, Gas Station, Restaurant, Travel, etc.
Transaction Types - Restrict or be notified of transactions by type: in-store, online, etc.
Spending Limits - Block or be notified of transactions by dollar amount thresholds.
This is where you will manage your Alerts Notification Settings.
Choose a notification method for Blocked Transaction Alerts. At least one method must be selected or you will not be notified of any of your blocked transactions alerts.
Choose a notification method for Notification Alerts. At least one method must be selected or you will not be notified of any of the alerts you enable.
All Champlain National Bank Debit Mastercards are already blocked from making purchases in international locations, with the exception of Canada. All other countries are restricted to ATM use only.
To Block ATM transactions from all international locations, select the box next to International. Notifications can be enabled without enabling the International ATM Restriction.
This is where you can Enable Notifications or Restrictions for various Merchant Types.
Tap the info icon in the upper-right corner for details on what is included for the Merchant Types. When a Restriction is enabled, the corresponding Notification is automatically enabled, however, Notifications can be enabled without enabling a Restriction.
Make sure you swipe to view the full list of Merchant Types, which may be longer than your device screen.
This is where you can Block certain Types of Transactions.
Tap the info icon in the upper-right corner for details on what is included for the Transaction Types. When a Restriction is enabled, the corresponding Notification is automatically enabled, however, Notifications can be enabled without enabling a Restriction.
Here is where you will Set Transaction Spending Limits and Alerts and/or set Monthly Spending Limits and Alerts.
SUSPEND CARD SERVICES
Temporarily block your card from being used. Suspending a card will not prevent pre-authorized transactions from processing.
You can also Report your card as Lost or Stolen. This will permanently disable the card. Contact us to order a new card.
