Mobile Check Deposit
WHAT IS MOBILE CHECK DEPOSIT?
Mobile Check Deposit allows you to deposit checks directly into a Champlain National Bank checking, savings, or money market account by simply taking a picture of the check with your smartphone or tablet. Only personal accounts are eligible for Mobile Check Deposit.
WHAT CAN I DEPOSIT?
You will be able to deposit up to five checks per day, with a maximum of 15 checks per month. Dollar amount restrictions are $2,500 per day and $5,000 per month. Most types of checks can be deposited, however some exclusions apply such as checks drawn on foreign banks or in foreign currency, post-dated and stale dated checks, and third party checks.
HOW IT WORKS
You will need to download the Champlain National Bank App to your smartphone or tablet computer.
Log into the App using your Mobile ID (NetTeller ID) and password.
Choose the Mobile Deposit icon.
Select the account for the deposit.
Enter the amount of the check.
You must endorse the check like this: “For Mobile Deposit Only, Champlain National Bank account #xxxxxxx”.
Snap a clear picture of the entire check, both front and back.
Submit the check for deposit.
You will receive a confirmation message immediately when a deposit has been successfully transmitted.
Retain the check for 30 days after you make the deposit in a safe place. You can destroy it after the 30 day window.
WHEN ARE THE FUNDS AVAILABLE?
If you submit a deposit to us on a business day before 5:00pm, the deposit will be credited to your account that day and made available the next business day. Deposits made after 5:00pm and on non-business days (Saturday, Sunday, and federal holidays) will be credited to your account the next business day and available to you according to our Funds Availability Policy.
WHAT DEVICE CAN I USE?
Champlain National Bank Mobile Check Deposit is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and Android phones.
WHAT'S THE COST?
Champlain National Bank does not charge for its Mobile Check Deposit service. However, your wireless provider may assess data and message rates, and you will be responsible for those charges.
HOW WE HANDLE DEPOSIT ISSUES
A deposit will be rejected if the check image is blurry or if the check was already deposited. You will receive an email from us, letting you know the check was rejected. If you enter the check amount incorrectly, your deposit will be adjusted and you will be notified by email.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Your deposit account must be open for a minimum of 90 days with no history of overdrafts, returned items, or past due loan payments. You must also be at least 18 years old. Only personal accounts are eligible for Mobile Check Deposit. Businesses can take advantage of our Remote Electronic Deposit (RED) to deposit checks at their place of business using a scanner. HOW DO I APPLY?
Complete the Mobile Check Deposit Enrollment Form at the bottom of this page and give it to a representative at your local branch. You can also mail it to the address located at the bottom.
