ADDITIONAL SECURITY
Champlain National Bank is continuously striving to provide our clients with a greater peace of mind and a more secure online banking experience. In the near future we will implement a new security feature called Multi Factor Authentication, which is an additional layer of identity verification in NetTeller.
HOW IT WORKS
There are two ways Multi Factor Authentication protects NetTeller users from fraud and identity theft:
1. You know it’s really us. When you log into NetTeller you will be asked to select a unique authentication image from a gallery of memorable images. This is the image that will be displayed every time you log into NetTeller thereafter. When you see it, you can be certain you’re at the valid Champlain National Bank website, and not a fraudulent look-alike site. Only enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) if the authentication image that appears matches the image you previously selected. If it does not, log out immediately and contact Champlain National Bank at (518) 963-4201, ext. 206 or ext. 132.
2. We know it’s really you. When you log into NetTeller you will be asked to set up security questions to which only you know the answers. Our Multi Factor Authentication solution will monitor your accounts for activity that is “unusual” based on your NetTeller history. In the rare case that such activity is detected, you will be asked to verify your identity by correctly answering security questions you previously set up.
QUESTIONS?
For additional information about Multi Factor Authentication or if you have concerns or comments, please call us at (518) 963-4201,
ext. 206 or ext. 132.
STAY ALERT
Multi Factor Authentication will occur ONLY during a NetTeller sesion. Please remember that Champlain National Bank will not ask that you provide to us your social security number, account number or PIN as this is information we already have on file.
